Tips: Select one of the 35 "worlds" and mouse around or use right-click to zoom in.

Enigmatic, fluid and often alluring, the works that collectively form the piece, Daarzs are some of the most intriguing in Dots & Lines . Daarzs is an audiovisual microcosm populated by objects which emulate living organisms. Users select one of the numbered 35 micro worlds and interact with the audio-visual objects by clicking, zooming in, and moving the mouse. Daarzs presents us with a highly original visual notation system. These animated visual and sonic works appear like fusions of science diagrams and artistic doodles.

The seemingly organic dots and lines which comprise their forms, tremble, pulsate, quiver and splinter with user interaction, evolving and shifting sonically and visually. Many of the objects in Daarzs seem inherently alive in their shambling motion, responding to the stimulus of user interaction with almost biological tendencies. In micro world 22 , we seem transported to a deep oceanic reality colonized by abstract submarine creatures that emit melodic tones when touched. 34 seems almost like the inside of a cell, shuddering when brought into contact with the mouse. Other environments, such as 13 seem more industrial in nature, comprised of angular geometric lines and spherical forms which vibrate and throb like the innards of an inscrutable machine.
